| ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS Sealed proposals will be received at the Office of the City Manager, City of Doral 8300 NW 53rd Street Suite 100 Doral, Florida 33166 until May 14th, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at which time they will be opened and read aloud for: Call to Artist - Doral Meadow Park RFP#2010-11 The proposal shall include, applicable freight, if any, and anticipated lead time, payment terms and method of delivery. Proposals shall be no more than five pages in length in narrative format including Name, address, phone, email and full description of items being provided. Must provide rendering of proposed art with proposal. Proposals shall be valid for a period of 180 days. If chosen, Artist must be able to meet City of Doral minimum requirements as a vendor. Details of requirements available on the City of Doral website. Artists are to deliver one (1) original and three (3) copies of the proposal in a sealed envelope with the name of the company and RFP# 2010-11 clearly marked on the exterior of the envelope. Fax or email submittals shall not be accepted or considered. Any request for information or clarification shall be addressed via e-mail only at: doral@munipro.com. All questions or clarifications must be received by 2:00 p.m. on May 10th, 2010. Absolutely no phone calls or other communication will be allowed. Please note that this proposal is subject to a Cone of Silence. The City of Doral will be hosting a non-mandatory pre-posal meeting on Wednesday, April 28th, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Doral Meadow Park, 11555 NW 58th Street. Artists will have an opportunity to ask questions and inspect the site. The City of Doral reserves the right, for any reason, to reject any and all proposals, to waive any informality, irregularity, or technicality in any proposal, to re-advertise for proposals, or take any other such actions that may be deemed to be in the best interests of the City. The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to invite interested parties to submit and substantiate the integration of art in a public park setting. The decision to implement the opportunities will be based upon the artists’ site specific project proposal and the recommendation of the City of Doral Parks & Recreation Department and the designated advisory board and/or committee. The estimated project budget for this opportunity is intended to suggest preliminary financial parameters for conceptualizing project proposals and to be inclusive of all costs to design, fabricate, install and implement art project.
